My macrame journey began in early 2017. I was a year out of college, a year into my nannying job, & a year into marriage. Life had settled into a rhythm & I began craving a creative outlet. I stumbled upon macrame when I was looking into a wall hanging for our apartment. My first piece was super simple, made with thrifted yarn & a piece of driftwood I'd picked up at a beach nearby. Pretty sure it hardly counted as macrame, but I was hooked. I jumped onto YouTube & watched how-to videos endlessly, trying my best to learn the knots. Soon our loft was full of plant hangers & wall hangings, leading me to decided to open an Etsy shop. My hope was I could keep making macrame without covering every square inch of our walls with my pieces. When I clicked "publish" on my Etsy shop, I had absolutely no where this macrame journey would end up taking me.
Now a few years later, Tied & True has changed my life in the best way. I have wholesale & consignment accounts across the central coast, I participate in local markets, I teach macrame workshops & I run my online shop, sending macrame everywhere from North Carolina to China! I'm so thankful for this little business & for your generous support. Thank you for coming on this ride with me!
